Terms of service

These terms cover the Castle Bonk game and this website. Castle Bonk is made by Bonneville Solutions, LLC (“we”, “us”). By playing the game or buying the Royal Charter, you agree to these terms. If you are a child, please read them with a parent or guardian.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

1. Playing for free

You can play the whole game for free in a web browser, with no account. The free version shows ads in panels beside the game on large desktop screens. Your progress is saved on your device.

2. The Royal Charter

The Royal Charter is a one-time $4.99 purchase. It removes the ads, adds the cosmetic Founder's Pack (a golden castle skin, a crown, a glitter arrow trail, and a banner), turns on cloud backup of your progress, and adds a thank-you to your castle banner. It does not change gameplay. There is no subscription and nothing renews.

After you pay, you get a charter code on screen and by email. The Charter is for your household: you may use the code on the devices your family uses. Please don't publish, share outside your household, or resell charter codes. We may deactivate a code that has been shared publicly.

3. Purchases are for grown-ups

Purchases must be made by an adult (18 or older) or with a parent's or guardian's permission. In the game, the purchase sits behind a grown-ups-only question, and checkout needs a payment card on Paddle's checkout.

4. Leaderboards and fair play

Leaderboard names are built from friendly word lists and can't be typed in. Don't cheat, tamper with scores, or try to get around the game's checks. We may remove scores that look tampered with.

5. Refunds

You can get a full refund within 30 days of paying, no questions asked. Details are in our refund policy. Refunds are processed by Paddle.

6. Changes and availability

We update the game and may change, add, or remove features. If we ever stop offering cloud backup, we'll give at least 30 days' notice so you can keep your progress on your device. A Royal Charter keeps the game ad-free for as long as we offer the game.

7. Our content

The game, its art, music, and characters belong to us. You're welcome to share screenshots and videos of your games, including on streams and video sites.

8. No warranty

The game is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it will always be available or free of bugs.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost progress. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by contract.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above before the change takes effect, and tell Royal Charter holders by email.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protections of the law where you live.
