Hobgoblin Knight
Hobgoblin Knight is a armored and shielded enemy from Emberwaste in Castle Bonk, a free castle defense game for kids. It belongs to Emberwaste and first marches in on Day 22, “Cool Dawn, Hard Hats”. After that it comes back on days 23–30. A golden elite version shows up on days 23, 25, 26, 27 and 29.
Hobgoblin Knights polish their armor every morning. It takes four hours.

What it does
A heavily armored warrior with a kite shield. Front-on flat pierce is blocked, and other pierce is at −50%. Shield Bash: against marching units it bashes for a knockback of 60 px every 4 s. It lowers the shield at the wall.
How to beat Hobgoblin Knight
Catapult (blunt +50%), Crossbow Tower (armor-piercing), Stormcaller (chains through metal, proposed ×1.25), Boiling Oil, and Cryomancer slow. Plain archers and rangers are poor. This is the "mix your damage" exam enemy for this region.
Best counters: Crossbow Tower, Keep Catapult and Stormcaller.
Also works: Boiling Oil, Pyromancer, Cryomancer and Pikeman.
Not great against it: Balcony Archers and Ranger.
- Armor halves arrow and bolt damage, and blunt hits like catapult boulders do 50% more.
- Its shield blocks flat shots from the front. Lob arrows high so they drop on top, or bring crossbow bolts.

On Normal you'll face about 53 Hobgoblin Knights over 9 days, spread across 19 waves. The biggest crowd comes on Day 23, with 9 of them. Harder difficulty levels send more of them, with more health; Easy sends fewer.
What it looks like
A tall, broad hobgoblin (orange-red skin) in rusty mismatched plate armor, with a bucket-style helm topped by a feather duster plume, a kite shield painted with a grumpy moon, and a flanged mace. Gag: the visor keeps slamming shut on its own, and the knight pushes it back up.
The elite version
It uses Shield Wall, giving allies directly behind it Shielded too.
