Battering Ram
Battering Ram is a siege, armored enemy from Whisperwood in Castle Bonk, a free castle defense game for kids. It belongs to Whisperwood and first marches in on Day 11, “Drizzle and Drums”. After that it comes back on days 12, 13, 15, 19–24, 26, 27 and 29.
Six goblins, one log, and zero plans for after the door.

What it does
A covered ram on wheels pushed by goblins, with a metal roof and a metal head (−50% pierce, +50% blunt). It ignores marching units (rolls through them and pushes them aside) and slams the gate section of the wall. Spill-out: when destroyed, 2 goblin_grunts tumble out dazed (the 1 s daze is part of the gag).
How to beat Battering Ram
Catapult (blunt ++), Boiling Oil (pour it on at the gate), Crossbow Tower, and Knight. Plain arrows show "resist".
Best counters: Keep Catapult and Boiling Oil.
Also works: Crossbow Tower, Pyromancer and Knight.
Not great against it: Balcony Archers and Ranger.
- Siege foes move slowly but hit the wall very hard. Stop them before they arrive.
- Armor halves arrow and bolt damage, and blunt hits like catapult boulders do 50% more.
Battering Ram in the campaign
On Normal you'll face about 21 Battering Rams over 13 days, spread across 14 waves. The biggest crowd comes on Day 11, with 2 of them. Harder difficulty levels send more of them, with more health; Easy sends fewer.
What it looks like
A wooden shed on wheels with an iron roof shaped like a tortoise shell and a ram head that's a grumpy iron goat face, pushed by four goblin feet showing underneath. Gag: the goblins chant "HEAVE! HO!" with each pullback, and one goblin's foot is always out of step.
The elite version
The whole ram is iron-plated (armored) and spills 3 grunts.
