Hog Rider
Hog Rider is a fast, medium HP, charges enemy from Meadowvale in Castle Bonk, a free castle defense game for kids. It belongs to Meadowvale and first marches in on Day 5, “Golden Hour Hogs”. After that it comes back on days 6–9, 11, 15, 16 and 19–22. A golden elite version shows up on Day 9.
The hogs are in charge. The riders just hold on and yell.

What it does
It gallops in. Charge: the first contact with a unit or the wall does a 15-damage burst and knocks back units (not giants) by 60 px. After a charge the hog is dizzy for 1.5 s (a vulnerable window, taking +25% damage), then keeps attacking at 3/s.
How to beat Hog Rider
A Pikeman brace negates the charge and deals 2× to charging riders, Cryomancer slow, and focus fire.
Best counters: Cryomancer and Pikeman.
Also works: Balcony Archers, Crossbow Tower, Boiling Oil, Pyromancer, Stormcaller and Knight.
Not great against it: Footman.
- It wears no armor, so plain arrows do full damage.
Hog Rider in the campaign
On Normal you'll face about 38 Hog Riders over 12 days, spread across 13 waves. The biggest crowd comes on Day 15, with 7 of them. Harder difficulty levels send more of them, with more health; Easy sends fewer.
What it looks like
A round, pink-brown war hog with tusks and a saddle-blanket, ridden by a tiny goblin in an aviator cap and goggles holding a carrot on a stick. Gag: the carrot-stick is the steering system, and the hog occasionally stops to sniff a flower (only in the showcase spawn).
The elite version
An armored snout cap; the charge deals 25 and it recovers from dizzy in 0.8 s.
